TATTOO OF A LILY*

This song is so close to my heart, y’all. I really do wanna get the tattoo as a reminder of the scripture… "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Matthew 6:28-29) Whoo! Solomon was filthy rich and he still couldn’t dress himself like God dressed those lilies. The lilies aren't worried about a thing. They are taken care of and I am too. I struggle to remember that sometimes. I’d love the tattoo as a cool reminder.
Quick story: My husband and I were at Venice beach one day. On a whim we decided we'd get tattoos. Finally I was gonna have my lily. We walked up to one of the tattoo parlors out there. From outside the door (which was wide open) we could hear the buzz of the needle as the artist worked on a customer. We looked at each other and were like, “Nahhhh…” French fries seemed more attractive and less painful at the time. I’m so allergic to pain. He got me a jagua ink tattoo of the lily later. It was fun while it lasted. I seriously want to work up the courage to do the real tattoo though. :-)
