IF I WAS GOD*

This concept came to me as I listened to the stories of someone close to me. Sometimes my writing comes from a place of empathy. This was what I imagined myself feeling and saying as I experienced her situation vicariously. It came easy though because it is what I wished I had said several times in my own situations as an older teen/young adult. I hate that I can think of such amazingly clever things I SHOULD have said AFTER the opportunity has passed. LOL

I actually created a different version of this song at the time that the concept came to me. I re-vamped it for The Sarah Project because I feel so strongly about this concept but when I listened back to the original version it dragged a little for this project and didn't fit the direction everything else seemed to be heading. I needed it in the journey though so I decided a re-work was in order.

I'll link the original here just for ya-ya's. It is raw...not pro mixed... absolute artist vulnerability. We are officially real friends now.  :-D  I can't imagine it will ever be heard publicly outside of this occasion so this is definitely an exclusive. LOL
