Back in the day my guy and I spent a lot of time in crowded rooms where we were socializing and networking individually though we had attended whatever event it was, together.
​
We would have fun connecting across a room even though we were too far apart to exchange any words...we could read eyes. It was my intention to absolutely distract him with my eyes -- to have whomever he was listening to speaking in the voice of Charlie Brown's teacher. LOL.
​
I believe I accomplished it often. I certainly had to say, "Sorry can you repeat that?" to enough people when he gave me a few looks from across a room. We don't do nearly as many crowded rooms anymore but when we do, we still engage in the antics after all these years because...why not? :-)
